During the first year of business, Mr. Byrne worked out of the garage of his house. For the next two years, Byrne Metals occupied warehouse space in Southwest Houston and grew its installation business. In 1982, the company purchased land near Fondren and South Main and built a sheet metal shop.

During the next decade, Byrne Metals continued to grow its installation business and was supplemented by a full line sheet metal shop.

In 1989, Byrne Metals moved to Porter, Texas and continued to expand its installation and fabrication business.

In 2010, Byrne Metals opened its current facility in Humble, Texas, along with a branch in San Antonio, Texas.

Today, Byrne Metals is a leader in the architectural metalwork industry.
